With over 40 years of combined teaching experience, senior Jivamukti teachers Gabriela Bozic and Emma Henry will guide you through a transformative week designed to empower, educate, and inspire. This retreat will leave you feeling strong yet relaxed, reconnected to your heart and equipped with tools to carry the ethics of yoga into your daily life, helping you face everyday challenges with joy, kindness and purpose.
At the heart of this retreat lies the wisdom of Patanjali’s Yama and Niyama—the ethical principles and guidelines for self-conduct that form the foundation of yoga. These timeless teachings offer guidance for cultivating harmony within ourselves and with others, allowing us to navigate life’s everyday challenges with greater clarity, joy, and purpose. Together, we will explore how these principles can calm the fluctuations of the mind (chitta vrittis) and bring peace and intention into modern life.
Our morning sessions will combine flowing movement, mindful alignment, and breathwork to build strength, vitality, and focus. In the evenings, we will turn inward with practices designed to restore and rejuvenate: gentle yin yoga, restorative postures, pranayama, and guided meditation will help you relax deeply and integrate the day’s experiences.
Beyond the mat, journaling and group sharing will create a space for self-reflection and connection with others, allowing you to explore how the teachings of Yama and Niyama resonate with your personal journey. Whether it’s through stillness, movement, or meaningful dialogue, you’ll have opportunities to nurture yourself on every level.
During your free time, soak up the Mediterranean sun, swim in crystal-clear waters, or enjoy the simple pleasure of being present in Crete’s stunning natural environment. Join us for a week of yoga, reflection, and relaxation.
THE PLACE:
Nowadays, there are still a few places on earth that insistently deny to follow the stream of the modern civilisation and remain oases for those who seek for something different. Triopetra is one of those places where time seems to have stopped!
You get to experience the archaic landscape, pure nature, the almost everpresent sun, etesian winds, the chirping of the cicadas and the soft, swooshing sound of the ocean.
This place of refuge is located on the south coast of Crete. The best Season lies between April and October where the highest Temperatures are reached between June and September.
The beach is just a few steps away from the Kretashala “Pavlos’ Place” and the guests can enjoy miles of unspoiled and deserted beaches, with turquoise, crystal-clear water in which you can swim and snorkel. One is surrounded by Nature in its purest form that invites you to explore the healing powers of it.
The area around Triopetra is free from bars or noisy night life, which means that tranquility and quietness are guaranteed!
